Architect Raj Rewal made a beautiful comparison of stone jails (trellises) in Fatehpur Sikri to the carvings in Alambra in Lisbon. He also pointed out that Indian stones go much longer way than their European counter parts. Architect Rewal also presented fusion of stone and steel in his works as stones has high compressive strength while steel has high tensile strength and coupled together they result in superior structures. It was further informed that stones could also be effectively used as an acoustic material. He further emphasized on the need of suitable standards for fixing of stones and code of practice for application of stones.

Arch. K. Jaisim noted that stone defies all logic and all technologies. Stones can be coupled with any other building material and they can go on their own too. He said technology allows us to play with stones which past could not. Architect Jaisim, presented use of raw natural stones in various applications as well as their application with clay.

Arch Parul Zaveri pointed out that experiments with stones are limitless, each stone can be presented in many different forms and ways and definitely a material which last for years in comparison to other modern flooring and cladding options.

Arch. Deepak Gahlowt emphasized on standards for usage of stones. He further advocated testing of stones so that an architect could use the stone judiciously as per demands of any specific application. He further presented use of stone as architectural element in various applications.
